A different and inclusive way to invest and support your favorite founders
Today, we’re excited to announce that we have officially launched Metagrove’s first investor initiative — The Collective.
It’s been a long time coming for us, but it’s finally here and we wanted to take this opportunity to explain to everyone what this is all about, and also why this is important to our vision and what it means for us here at Metagrove.
To make this as easy and digestible as possible, the rest of this piece has been formatted as a FAQ. By doing this, we decided not to bore you with the minutia of reading a dreary blog post, but instead, get you excited about this initiative and what lies next.

TL;DR
What is it?
The Collective is an exclusive community of investors who are involved in both investing and potentially supporting the next wave of founders and disruptive companies, hand-picked and curated by the Metagrove team.
All members are carefully selected and chosen to ensure we’re able to corral a dynamic and diverse set of individuals who have angel investors in their own right or are new to investing and want to start exploring ways they can help passionate founders build the next big thing.
We’re slowly opening our doors to more folks to be active investors with the hope of providing such investing opportunities to the wider general public in the near future.
But why?
Unlike the public markets, private investment opportunities are hard to come by for a lot of investors. We created The Collective to provide hard-to-find and also hard-to-get-in opportunities to our community so they could have a stake in promising companies, but also provide their support where they can to its founders.
This is now the perfect time to get more people involved in investing across different asset classes to bring about long-term wealth, but also play an active role in helping shape a promising future.
What about sectors?
Like Metagrove, we only bring forth companies to our community if there is alignment with our mandate. If we think there’s a match, we’ll notify everyone of interest and go from there.
Can I help the founders + company?
We definitely appreciate it. While we understand that not everyone wants to, or has the time and capacity to help founders, we certainly want to provide the opportunity to do so for those who are interested.
We actively curate and maintain a list of investors who possess key skills and expertise that allows us to match-make them with founders.
At Metagrove, we strongly believe that the best way to bring about future success is to improve the odds of that very success through the right people, network, and connections.
How do I get involved?
It’s easy — go here!
Once you have registered your interest, we’ll go through each application carefully and if there’s a right fit, we will contact you for a quick meeting, just to learn more about you and your interests.
If you’re approved, we’ll bring you into the community, and from here on out, you’ll get the latest updates and notifications when there’s an opportunity to invest. On some occasions, we’ll even invite the entire community to come and listen to the founders pitch, and give the investors the chance to ask questions themselves.
How does this help the founders?
Having a community of investors is just as important as having a community of founders. Not only do founders have the opportunity to receive funding from Metagrove’s primary fund, but it also provides the chance to receive capital from the community with the strong likelihood of also receiving additional help and support from its members. This approach is super powerful, and as already mentioned, could improve the odds of success for everyone involved.
Do I get updates?
We’ll provide ongoing updates as they come through from the companies. We’ll do our best to ensure that this information is presented in the most digestible format.
